Terms and Conditions

The use of the Community Manufacturing website, including the purchase of any products is subject to the following terms & conditions.  Please read the below terms carefully.

TERMS OF SALE: We require a 50% deposit on all merchandise at the time of order.  At Community Manufacturing we keep it simple, Checks, ACH and Credit Cards all work for us, just tack on a 3% fee for all Credit Card purchases.  We accept AMEX, Visa and MasterCard.  For ONLINE orders: payment in full is required at the time of purchase.  Our website currently uses third parties to process payments. Our third-party payment processors accept payments through various credit cards as detailed on the applicable payment screen.

LEAD TIMES: Right now, our lead times are 10-12 weeks (give or take). Tack on an additional 2 weeks for custom orders.  The lead times are subject to change, pending fabric availability and other factors that are out of our control.  We cannot guarantee exact lead times or specific deadlines unless otherwise communicated between you and our sales team.

SHIPPING: At least 1 week prior to the order being complete, our fulfillment manager will reach out to you to confirm the ship to address.  Once confirmed, we will work with our 3rd party preferred carriers to provide you with the best possible rates. Community Manufacturing will work with you and the carrier to arrange the pickup of your item(s) from Community’s dock, however, all billing and shipping details will be communicated directly between you and the carrier.  Please note that we require written approval of the shipping quote prior to releasing your item(s).  You have the option to choose between White Glove, Threshold or B2B shipping methods. Shipping estimates usually run about 7-22% of the order total and are based on transit within the contiguous United States.  All Community goods are made-to-order and carefully inspected by Community prior to release to ensure that your order is in excellent, new condition. Additional shipping fees will apply for any multi-level homes or stares needed to place your items.  Please see our shipping FAQ for more information on our shipping policy.

CANCELLATION/ALTERATIONS: We make every piece by hand.  If you need to make an alteration or wish to cancel your order, we can do so during a small window of time.  We encourage you to reach out to our production team as soon as possible with any alterations or cancellations at info@communitymfg.com. There is a 25-50% surcharge for any alterations to the order after the order has been placed. We cannot guarantee approval of cancellations or alterations once the order has been put into production.

RETURNS:  It is the responsibility of the customer to order furniture in the correct size by first measuring all doorways, corridors, stairways, and elevators.  Community MFG does not accept responsibility for custom furniture that does not fit into the space, and deliveries cannot be refused on these grounds. If delivery is refused, Community MFG assumes no responsibility financial or otherwise and makes no guarantees about outcome. Elective returns are not handled by the 3rd party shippers, they require separate arrangements, advanced approval, special instructions and a return authorization number.

ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION: When you visit the Community MFG website, or send us emails, you are communicating with us electronically.  In doing so, you consent to receive communications from us electronically. We will communicate with you by e-mail or by posting notices on this Site. (Review with team) **PRODUCT VARIATION: All dimensions are based on manufacturer specifications or specifications provided by client, and vary based on COM selection. Variances will range between 1/8" to 1/2" on hard surfaces and from 3/4" to 1 1/2" on soft components. Outside factors can affect the loft (thickness) of cushions and pillows. COM that is heavy and tightly woven will compress the feather inserts more than looser weaves. Down filled cushions are encased in feather-lock ticking but occasional feathers may escape as it is a natural product.

Variations in color and veining are inherent in stone and wood and considered to be part of the natural beauty. All wood finishes are applied by hand and may vary in color, tone and character.

Woods may deviate from purchased samples because of inherent variations in wood species, stains and oils. While Community will make every effort to closely match a finish sample, no guarantee can be made of an exact match. Community does not guarantee finishes against fading and oxidizing.

Minor inclusions or discolorations are inherent to the fabrication process. A wood sample is not limited to the color range shown and is not necessarily indicative of the full variation of the final product. Wood will expand and contract in accordance with its environment.
